Features
The new FLIR E75 Thermal Camera combines all of the latest imaging and communication features with a resolution that has become the industry standard for professionals. A brilliant, wide touchscreen provides intuitive menu navigation complete with support for multi-touch gestures. Use the built in WiFi to connect the E75 to your tablet or smartphone so that a coworker or customer can look on. New technology even allows lenses to be added or shared without factory recalibration. And laser guided autofocus will ensure that you and your images look your best.
Imaging
The beautiful, clear image of the FLIR E75 camera starts with the 320 x 240 thermal detector. As it has become more affordable, this resolution has become the workhorse of professionals in the maintenance, building, and electrical fields. And it has never looked better thanks to new lenses, a new screen, and an amazing sensitivity down to 0.03 °C. The detection and temperature measurement range of the E75 is an impressive -4 to 1200 °F (-20 to 650 °C). Lenses are available in standard, wide-angle, and telephoto configurations, and are now delivered factory calibrated. A special chip on the lens stores calibration data and allows the lens to be added to a camera without returning for factory recalibration. Lenses can even be swapped between cameras as needed.
MSX and UltraMax
The FLIR E75 houses both a thermal camera as well as a visible light camera to capture every detail of your target. These images are stored together for easy reference. FLIR’s patented MSX feature uses the visible camera to locate edges and patterns, adding these to the thermal view in real time. MSX imaging looks much more like the world as we see it, yet with full thermal data to reveal trouble spots. Another impressive imaging function of the E75 is UltraMax super-resolution technology. When activated, this captures 16 thermal images with one pull of the trigger. Natural hand movement ensures that each image is slightly different, providing a wealth of data points. When these are downloaded to the included FLIR Tools software, they are combined into one new image with twice the resolution, for a true 640 x 480 thermal image.
Autofocus
Have you ever captured a great image only to find out back at the office that it was slightly out of focus? The FLIR E75 solves this problem with precise, laser guided autofocus. A built in laser distance meter ensures that the lens is set to the perfect distance whenever you press the autofocus button. A manual focus ring is also available so that you can always focus the camera as needed. All distance data is stored with the corresponding captured image.
Touchscreen
The new touchscreen on the FLIR E75 infrared camera has the sensitivity of a phone or tablet, and supports gestures like swiping down to access shortcuts, or pinching your fingers to zoom in or out of an image. The screen is larger and much brighter than previous Exx-Series cameras, and has a wide 160° viewing angle. Life is easier even in difficult conditions. The screen is made of tough Dragontail glass, and the entire camera is wrapped in a dust and water resistant rubberized housing.
Images and Video
The onboard SD card can record images and video, both thermal and visible. Thousands of image pairs can be stored to the card. You can even record thermal video with full radiometric data for every pixel in the image. Organize your media into a folder structure of your choosing, whether by customer, location, etc. The FLIR E75 lets you annotate your work with voice or text notes that are stored with the images. Download can be accomplished through the included USB cable, through wireless to your tablet or phone, or by inserting the SD card into you computer. The FLIR Tools software is compatible with PC and Mac, and provides a host of measurement and reporting functions.
Communications
FLIR uses all the latest communication technologies in the E75. WiFi lets you connect a phone or tablet running the free FLIR Tools app for iOS or Android. With the app you can mirror the live camera screen, capture images, and even create and email a report right from the field. Bluetooth will connect the FLIR E75 to any Meterlink equipped FLIR or Extech clamp meter, multimeter, or moisture meter. All meter data is captured and stored with the thermal image. And with built in GPS and a digital compass, you will never again need to wonder where an image was taken.
Measurement
All of the best FLIR palettes are incorporated into the E75: Iron, Gray, Rainbow, Arctic, Lava, and Rainbow HC. There are also color alarms to alert you when areas are above, below, or between a user defined temperature threshold. Moisture and insulation alarms can highlight areas of a building that are at risk of water damage or energy loss. Temperature measurement tools on the FLIR E75 camera include a center spot meter and automatic hot and cold point detection. You can even use the programmable “P” button to quickly toggle between two frequently used settings, such as changing between still image capture and video capture.
